Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely credited with beginning the current research into the study of memories of eyewitnesses and children's victim witnesses within legal situations. Professor Goodman is the author of many research publications as well as numerous grants to her name she is also the winner of numerous international and national awards. She has worked with many organisations and governments across the world on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who have been victims of the legal system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional organizations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been president of three divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division American Psychology-Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
