Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely known for her pioneering modern research of the memory of children as eyewitnesses and also the application of child victims in court settings. Professor Goodman, who has many papers and grants, is also the recipient of numerous international and national prizes. She has consulted with various nations and organizations around the world regarding policies and research on children's victimization within the court system. She is currently a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of several professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the head of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
