Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of the memory of children as eyewitnesses as well as the role of children victims in court contexts. Prof. Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also been recognized with numerous national and international awards. She has offered policy and research consultations to many agencies and departments around the globe. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of several professional organizations, such as the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
