Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. The university is widely acknowledged for initiating the contemporary science-based study of children's eyewitness memories and the role of child victims as witnesses in the legal realm. Professor Goodman is a prolific author, has won numerous awards and grants. She has collaborated with numerous authorities and organisations throughout the world in studies and policy issues pertaining to child victims of the justice system. She is consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society and the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association's three divisions including Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families the Practice and Policy.
