Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. She has received a lot of praise for her pioneering work in studying child witnesses as well as eyewitness memories within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded numerous awards and grants. She has worked with many organisations and governments all over the world to conduct policy and research pertaining to children who have been victims of the legal system. She acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of various professional associations, which include that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is also a founder participant of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development, as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the director of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development as well as Practice Division of the American Psychology Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
