Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is associated with the start of research in modern science on the memory of children's eyewitnesses as well as the use of child victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman published widely and has won numerous grants, and has been recognized with numerous International and national awards. Her work has been with numerous authorities and organisations throughout the world in policy and research pertaining to child victims of the justice system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center that was formerly known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of several professional associations including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology for Women and Traumatic Stress). Professor Goodman is also a participant in Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
