Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She is widely known for her pioneering modern research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and also the application of child victims in court settings. Professor Goodman published widely and has won numerous grants, and has received many national and international awards. She has worked with various organizations and government officials across the globe on policy and studies on children who are victims of the justice system. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She has memberships with numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
