Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely recognized for initiating the modern study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded several awards and grants. She has advised numerous administrations and agencies across the world about policies as well as research related to the treatment of child victims of the law by the system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a Founding Member, International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, as well as three Divisions: Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
