Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name has been recognized for pioneering the study of eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in the legal setting. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive She has also received a number of grants, and has been the winner of many honors both national and internationally. She has consulted with numerous government agencies and governments across the world on policies as well as research on children as victims within the legal system. She is currently a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She has been a member of several professional associations, such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
