Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for beginning the current research into the study of eyewitness memory, as well as the use of children's victims as witnesses in legal settings. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers she has received grants from numerous sources and received numerous national and international honors. Her work has been with numerous government agencies and institutions all over the world to conduct policy and research pertaining to the child victimization of the legal system. She works as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is an active member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the president of American Psychological Association's three divisions which included Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
