Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. She is widely credited with beginning the current investigation of the scientific study of children's eyeswitness memory, as well as the use of children's victims as witnesses in legal contexts. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers, received many grants and been recognized with various international and national prizes. She has collaborated with a variety of authorities and organisations across the world on studies and policy issues pertaining to child victims of the legal system. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of numerous professional associations such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is also a founding participant of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the president of American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
