Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished professor of psychology since 1993, and the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and also the application of child victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer who has received numerous awards and grants. She has been a consultant to numerous government agencies and governments across the world regarding policies as well as research on children as victims within the legal system. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly known as Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of a variety of professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as president of three divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division, American Psychology-Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
