Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for her pioneering the science of child eyewitness memories as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is the author of a wide range of research publications as well as numerous awards to her credit she is also the winner of numerous national and global prizes. She has provided policy and research consultations to many agencies and departments from all over the world. She also serves as a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of numerous professional organizations, which include those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She was a founder member of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been director of three divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development as well as Practice Division of the American Psychology Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
