Aubrey Plaza is an actress and comedian born June 26th, 1984. April Ludgate is her role in Parks and Recreation. She is the daughter of Puerto Rican parents and an English-born mother from Ireland. Plaza received her education from an all girls Catholic institution in the year 2002, and the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in 2006. She was president of her student government at the high school, and participated in Wilmington Drama League productions during her time as a senior. Plaza had a stroke 2004 when she was studying at a the college. She developed expressive aphasia, and experienced briefly paralysis. The patient is fully recovered. Plaza began performing improv, sketch comedy, and a range of other forms at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater New York City in 2004. in New York, the comedian has performed stand-up comedians at The Improv as well as the Laugh Factory. Plaza was in E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street & The Jeannie Tate Show as the role of Robin Gibney and was also in the role of Ben Schwartz, as well as appearing as Robin Gibney for the premiere episode of Terrible Decisions.
