Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza, born on June 26, 1984 is a stand-up comedian and actor known for her dry comedy. She is April Ludgate, a character in the TV show Parks and Recreation. Her web series debut was called The Jeannie Tate Show following the time she did improv and sketch and slapstick comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza. Her next appearance was in the Juddd Apatow's Funny People and Scott Pilgrim against. the World as she progressed in her career. It's her birthday! Aubrey Christina Plaza is the daughter of Bernadette Plaza, an attorney, and David Plaza of a financial expert. Her birthplace was in Wilmington in Delaware. The parents of her mother and father were both born in Ireland and are Irish/English/Irish. Plaza was a graduate of an Catholic all-girls school in 2002. She also graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in the year 2006. She was president of her high school's student government and participated in Wilmington Drama League productions during her time as a senior. In 2004 while she was during her sophomore year of college Plaza suffered a stroke which resulted in her being diagnosed with expressive aphasia. She also experienced a period of paralysis. The recovery process is now complete. Since 2004, Plaza has been performing improv and sketch comedy in The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City. In New York City she's appeared in The Improv and the Laugh Factory. Plaza was seen as Robin Gibney in E.S.P.N. in Mayne Street as well as in the Jeannie Tate Show as Robin Gibney as well as the premiere episode Terrible Decisions with Ben Schwartz. In CollegeHumor's Troopers, she portrayed the Princess a satirical sci-fi character. This year, Plaza made her debut on the saxophone for the Cassorla film Bona Fide. In 2012 she performed her saxophone debut with Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings. In 2016, Plaza was featured in HarmonQuest for the first time as Hawaiian Coffee a gnome. Also, she played Aaron Burr in Drunk History, and Cat Adams for Season 11 of the C.B.S. the television show Criminal Minds. In Season 12, she had a great comeback on the part. In the following year, it was reported that Plaza will be appearing in the indie comedy An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn.
