Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, in Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian music producer and a singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 it received a raving review from music blogs as well as the press. She has previously released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis to promote a Christmas ad from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry shared a tweet that Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. Make it a special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding the piano in her attic, and being captivated by its sounds. Her parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as an occupation or pastime but to grow. In order to do so she wrote her first songs that were her own creations. As well as Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother had told her the songs she composed were not meant to be famous for her, however, but to encourage people to see the importance of their work and influence on this world, she began playing them on stage. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument when she was six, and she started writing music when she turned nine. Her family didn't know until the age of 14. Aurora's success was never the goal of her. Her only passion is writing music. For her, music is the most effective method of feeling anything.
